Shaolin – v3

This model is one of my favorites and also one of my oldest works. I haven’t always been happy with it (anatomically speaking), but I have always liked the stance and its sense of action, so through the years I have kept coming back to update it and fix problems and anatomical errors that I hadn’t catch before. This time I felt like I finally was ready to give it some color. In that process I changed a whole lot of other things, many are not obvious, but the facial structure was one of the major changes.

ZBrush: Sculpt, polypaint textures, posing, lighting, rendering, single-pass materials.
Maya: Base mesh
3D-Coat: UV layout.
Photoshop: Compositing and post-production.
